Expanding on my last post, I wanted to give you some sites where you can watch old television shows. The best part is that it's all for free!
There are several shows from Hulu:
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The Abbott and Costello Show
The Lone Ranger
Lassie
The Donna Reed Show
Father Knows Best
Uncle Earl's Classic TV Channel has a variety of shows from Betty White's Life with Elizabeth to Dragnet, and everything in between. It is worth checking out. There are probably a lot more out there, but these are the ones I frequent the most. Enjoy!

I feel like all I have been doing lately is working and watching tv. I'm getting rather addicted to these tv programs. I never thought I would. Yesterday I watched a show called Trouble With Father. It was pretty funny. I've still been watching I Love Lucy and Dragnet often. I just can't seem to get enough. I should really make plans to go out dancing like I used to.

I found a new place to live. One of the girls knew this nice old lady who rents rooms in her house. She has three rooms she rents out. She had one available, and she let me take it. Another room is rented to a girl around my age. She seems nice, but a bit quiet. Her name is Connie. The other room is rented out to a guy who is a little bit older. I didn't get to meet him, though. The landlady said that he isn't home much. His name is Frank. I moved in right away since I only have some clothes, records, and a phonograph. The landlady has a tv in the living room, which she allows us to share. She let Connie and me watch the hit parade. It's exciting to have a tv. The house is close to work. It will only take me 15 minutes on the bus to get to work. I think I am going to like it here.

Since Peter left, I haven't really wanted to leave the motel room. But, I need to find a job. So, today I went looking. I got distracted in front of a t.v. shop again. I think I was more interested in the commercials though.
They all made me want my own house.

I didn't feel like sitting in the hotel room today since Peter is still sulking. So, I went for a walk. I walked past a t.v. repair shop, and started watching a show through the window. It was quite silly really. But, I ended up standing there until it was over. I had my doubts about television before, but when I get a new apartment, I think I'm going to have to buy a set.

There was a break in the rain today. That made me happy since I had a job interview today. I don't really want the job, but I need a job. It is a job as a middle school secretary. They had me sit in on one of the classes. They were watching one of those educational films. I can't believe the kids still have to watch those things. The principal didn't tell me if I got the job, but I sort of hope I don't. He said he'll call me back next week.

This is the last week before Bev moves. She asked me to come over to watch some tv before it gets packed. I still haven't been over to see their new tv. We watched I Love Lucy. It was quite funny. In this episode, Lucy found out she was going to have a baby. I laughed through most of it. I wonder if Eddie would get me a tv so that I can watch it every week.
I am very sad that Bev is leaving, but I know she will have fun in her new home. Maybe someday I'll be able to go visit her.

It rained again today. So, I decided to make it a lazy day. I set my hair for the week last night, and didn't want to get it wet. I cuddled with Lilly and started the book Kiss Me Deadly.
Bev's parents just got a television. They are the first on their block to own one. I haven't seen it yet, but Bev is super excited about it. She said I can come over any time to watch it. I am not as excited. I just don't see how television shows can take the place of picture shows. There's something about going out to a show. I guess I'll have to go over there soon to see what the hoopla is about. I don't even know what show I would want to watch. I heard I Love Lucy is funny. There's also Dragnet. I listen to the show on the radio, but it might be fun to watch it. I am really getting into these crime dramas. Speaking of which, I should get back to my book. Goodnight Diary.
