March 10, 1953

Today was rainy. I didn't want to look for a job or an apartment in the rain. Peter went off to some galleries to meet the local artists. So, I decided to make a run to the book store. I picked up a couple of books that I have heard people talk about. I bought East of Eden by John Steinbeck. And, I bought Desiree, a book about Napoleon's fiance. After that I came back to the room, curled up on the bed, and read. Some times it's nice to have days like this. But, I hope that the rain doesn't last too long.
